The Virginia Music Teachers Association
Fall 2018 Conference and Competitions

"Variety: The Spice of Our (Musical) Life"

October 25-27, 2018
Liberty University
Lynchburg,  VA

Hello, VMTA Members! We have our complete conference schedule in place now; we thank you for your patience, as scheduling proved to be especially challenging this year. I am grateful to Liberty University School of Music and specifically to Dr. Paul Rumrill, Alissa Passburg, and Dr. Tad Hardin at Liberty for facilitating scheduling and for going above and beyond the call of duty by re-arranging some of the Music School class schedules to accommodate our facilities needs for the Conference and Competitions. I also thank our President, Elizabeth Caluda, for helping me with logistics of scheduling and for her invaluable advice on managing so many moving parts. I have extended the Early Bird Registration period to accommodate for the timing of this announcement.

I am very much excited about the conference offerings, and I am looking forward to seeing each one of you next month in Lynchburg!

NOTE: Competition schedule is in blue. Room 050 is the Concert Hall, and Rooms 160 and 305 are Recital Halls. Schedule and room location are subject to change.
