I have been studying harp and piano for 12 years. I attended Shenandoah Conservatory as a harp performance major and a piano minor where I studied harp under Elizabeth Blakeslee, second harpist with the National Symphony Orchestra. I have played in venues from The Kennedy Center to the Central Intelligence Agency Headquarters at Langley. I am a professional free-lance harpist/pianist who especially enjoys chamber music. I began teaching 5 years ago and have taught all ages from 5 on up. My teaching style is a patient, nurturing approach with a consistent emphasis on building technique, musicality and a knowledge of theory. I teach very beginning levels through intermediate, and I organize various recitals and performances. I absolutely love teaching and look forward to being a part of your musical journey! |
