Mission Statement

To provide outstanding support to help Mackay Island and Currituck National Wildlife Refuges fulfill their duties for conservation management, restoration of fish, wildlife and plant resources and habitats.

Our Vision

To be recognized and respected as one of the premier associations supporting the National Wildlife Refuge system.

Our Goal

To be the best nonprofit service organization in support of the National Wildlife Refuge system.

When We Meet

The Friends of Mackay Island, Inc. meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM (except in the month of December). The meetings are held at the Refuge Headquarters located at 316 Marsh Causeway, Knotts Island, NC (The Marsh Causeway is also known as NC HWY 615).
