The purpose of this site is to help conductors locate new scores by living composers that are of high quality, inexpensive, and suitable for performance by their ensembles. Many such scores are unpublished, unperformed, and written by composers who are not well-known. Consequently, they can be very difficult to find. Participation in the CCBRIDGE project is free. It was originally set up to promote new orchestral works but has now been expanded to include band and choral music as well.
CONDUCTORS:To submit a conductor inquiry (call for scores), select "Conductor Inquiries" from the menu and fill out the online form that includes information about the kind of piece you're looking for and contact information. Interested composers either mail appropriate score samples to you or contact you to determine a mutually agreeable alternative. You review the materials and, if the composer included a SASE, you return those that are of no interest. If you find a piece you'd like to use, you contact the composer to iron out the details for obtaining performance materials.
To hear audio samples by participating composers, select "Audio Samples" from the menu.
To search the CCBRIDGE database for scores that might be of interest, select "Member Catalog" from the menu.
